Join us for an informal discussion of the lineages of multilingual writing. Anne Tardos, who has been writing in multiple languages since the 1980s, will draw from her personal experience on the topic and talk about the ways in which her past experience with multilingual writing has impacted her current, largely unilingual, poetry.
Anne Tardos, French-born American poet, is the author of ten books of poetry and several multimedia performance works. Among her recent books of poetry are The Camel’s Pedestal, 2017; I Am You [first US edition], 2016; NINE, 2015; Both Poems, 2011; I Am You [first edition] 2008; and The Dik-dik’s Solitude, 2003. She is the editor of Jackson Mac Low’s Thing of Beauty, 2008; 154 Forties, 2012; and The Complete Light Poems, 2015. A Fellow in Poetry from the New York Foundation for the Arts, Tardos lives in New York.
