Reading with Jacques Rancourt & E. J. Koh

Jacques Rancourt and E. J. Koh are emerging Pleiades Press authors whose poems have been published widely in the nation’s most prestigious journals. We’re thrilled to be hosting this event and can’t wait to hear them read from their work.

EJE. J. Koh is the recipient of the 2016 Pleiades Press Editors Prize for her forthcoming collection of poems A Lesser Love. Her poems, ​translations​, and stories have appeared in World Literature Today, Boston Review, TriQuarterly, Southeast Review, Columbia Review, Berkeley Poetry Review, SWARM, and others. She accepted fellowships at Kundiman, The MacDowell Colony, Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, Vermont Studio Center, and the Jack Straw Writers Program. She earned her MFA at Columbia University in New York for Creative Writing and Literary Translation in Korean and Japanese.

JacquesJacques J. Rancourt is the author of Novena, winner of the Lena-Miles Wever Todd prize (Pleiades Press, February 2017). He has held poetry fellowships from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and Stanford University, where he was a Wallace Stegner Fellow. His poems have appeared in the Kenyon Review, New England Review, Ploughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Best New Poets 2014, among others. He lives and teaches in the San Francisco Bay Area.
