A resident of California's Bay Area, he is the author of four earlier volumes, including Chronic, which received the Kingsley Tufts Award, and the trilogy Tea, Lunch, and Cocktails, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. With David Trinidad, he created the chapbook By Myself: An Autobiography. He teaches at the University of San Francisco.
We'll give you another taste of Useless Landscape, or A Guide for Boys here—
