Open Elsewhere Series: D. A. Powell
Please join us two blocks north at the Chapel Performance Space on the 4th floor of the Good Shepherd Center at 4649 Sunnyside as we gladly welcome D. A. Powell to our Open Elsewhere Series. His most recent collection is Useless Landscape or, A Guide for Boys ($22 Graywolf Press), which you can learn more about here. A resident of California's Bay Area, he is the author of four earlier volumes, including Chronic, which received the Kingsley Tufts Award, and the trilogy Tea, Lunch, and Cocktails, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. With David Trinidad, he created the chapbook By Myself: An Autobiography. He teaches at the University of San Francisco.

We'll give you another taste of Useless Landscape, or A Guide for Boys here—
