CAROL LEVIN
Carol Levin joins us to read from her just published chapbook, Red Rooms and Others ($8 Pecan Grove). Like the unusual front door that graces the collection’s opening poem, her work is a portal into the many rooms that make up a life, into a world willingly experienced, deeply felt, and vividly described. She writes as one who carries both the generosity of a host and the curiosity of a guest, who knows that though “the day itself / is a room / surrounded by shifting walls of dark,” we are here to engage, even to embrace, what comes -- “a good way to enter a day, laughing.”
