Ms. Hillman and Ms. Dienstfrey are here to read from and discuss the issues
explored in the anthology they edited, The Grand Permission: New Writings
on Poetics and Motherhood. Women poets were invited "to reflect on the
relationship between the life of mothering and the development of poetic
form." The poetics of the women who responded, including C.D. Wright, Maxim
Kumin, Kathleen Fraser, Carolyn Forché, vary widely. Here's a chance to
listen to the editors talk about the project, and to join in the discussion.
