Books in Brief

Like an estuary, Open Books is in a constant state of inflow and departure. Of books, that is. And every so often we’ll post a piece about a recent arrival, written in some depth. While we’re preparing that piece, however, several new and used books are added to the stock without getting any recognition on this site. So we are going to start announcing periodically (and in the briefest terms) titles that have arrived. Though we may well write more about any of these in the near future, first we want you to know they exist and that we’ve got ’em. Being the first of its kind, this post is largely retrospective in nature and, thus, rather lengthy. It is also limited to new titles, with used to come soon. So away we go!   banenbanlieue
